Restoration of a neoclassical chest of drawers for a private client.
The furniture was treated with impregnation anti-woodworm, the old waxes and deteriorated paints that covered it were removed using specific solvents.
The missing slabs have been reconstructed with wood of the pertinent essence and age while the uncoated slabs have been stopped with animal glue.
The wooden surface was finally stuccoed and polished with shellac dissolved in alcohol at 94 degrees.
